Terrifying Moment Customer’s Car Barrels Over Colorado Repair Technician
A technician at a repair shop narrowly avoided serious injury after an apparent brake failure occurred in a customer’s vehicle, according to Tire Meets Road.
The individual who shared footage of the incident online claimed it took place at his in-law’s shop. Though no name for the business was given, it appears to be located in Colorado.
The employee can be seen opening the bay doors and adjusting an alignment rack in the shop shortly before a customer’s Scion xA comes barreling in.
Directly in its path, the vehicle slams the employee back against a toolbox behind him. What likely saved his life was the moment he fell under the car, instead of being pinned against the toolbox.
One user who saw the video noted that what appeared to be a tow-bar on the front of the vehicle may have also provided a gap between the tech’s head and the toolbox.
Though the person who originally shared the footage didn’t say what caused it, another user familiar with the situation claimed the car experienced a brake failure.
Fortunately, the original poster did add that the technician in the video made it through the ordeal with no more than a bump to the head.
