Following their graduation from Marshall County Technical School in Guntersville, Alabama, classmates Jordan Rios and Xavier Pell have now opened their own shop together, reports the Sand Mountain Reporter.
The two have been working on vehicles since they were 15. For Rios, it started by working alongside his father, while Pell was forced to repair problems that cropped up with his first car.
Having been best friends since high school and sharing a passion for auto work, Rios and Pell went on to attend Marshall County Technical School. It was here that they would realize their dreams of opening a repair shop, as well as how well they worked alongside one another.
Now, they’re the owners of PnR Automotive LLC, located in Boaz, Alabama. The shop does a variety of services, including engines, transmissions, suspensions, brakes, and electrical.
With Pell soon to become Rios’ brother-in-law, the two have ascended beyond just friends to becoming family and business partners. They thanked their families as well as their former tech school teacher, Brad Oliver, for supporting their dreams along the way.
Confident in their new business, they have a focus on providing transparent, reliable service to their customers.
“I feel like the automotive industry has a bad reputation for screwing people over, so we are trying to do our best with our customers to provide the necessary services that they need,” said Pell.
“We want to make our business bigger and better, but the main goal is to treat our customers to the best of our ability. We want people to give us a try because we will treat you right,” added Rios.
