July 18, 2018—Wrench, a mobile car repair service, is teaming up with Carvana, an e-commerce platform for buying used cars, to offer Carvana customers in Phoenix and Las Vegas a free oil change as a sampling of the benefits of on-site maintenance and auto repair.
“We are confident that Carvana customers, who have already benefited from the online convenience of a car purchase, will also appreciate the significant convenience of on-site, on-demand, car maintenance and repair” said Ed Petersen, co-founder and CEO of Wrench.
Customers can shop more than 10,000 vehicles on Carvana.com, finance, purchase and schedule as-soon-as-next-day delivery in as little as 10 minutes.
The free oil change service will include full synthetic oil as well as a premium filter. Wrench mobile mechanics can work on every make and model and stand behind their services with a 12 month/12,000-mile warranty. Two-year-old Wrench has already serviced over 35,000 cars in its eight markets, including five major markets in Seattle, San Diego, Portland, Phoenix and Las Vegas.
When Peterson spoke with Ratchet+Wrench back in October 2017, he said he believed mobile repair would come to be a major component of the auto repair industry.
“I think it’s going to be the only way people do it,” he said. “I don’t know why you would do it any other way.”
Wrench partners with brick-and-mortar shops in an effort to expand their services.
