ASA-Midwest Announces 'Facebook 101' Training

Dec. 3, 2013

Dec. 3, 2013—The Automotive Service Association-Midwest (ASA-Midwest) announced Tuesday that it will provide a training session for service facilities to create and maintain a better presence online, specifically on Facebook.

“Facebook 101 for Repair Shops” is centered on how the large social media network can be utilized to promote business, why it’s useful, how to reach a wide group of people, create posts, and read the analytical results.

Sheri Hamilton, an Accredited Automotive Manager (AAM) and ASA-Midwest executive director, will present the class on Jan. 14 in Lincoln, Neb. The dinner and training is from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. and costs $20 for ASA-Midwest members and $25 for non-members. The registration deadline is Jan. 9.

The training is worth three credits at the Automotive Management Institute, a provider of management education for the automotive service and collision repair industries.

Registration for the event is available online
