Oct. 21, 2013—AutoTex PINK announced Monday that its "Break the Mold" advertising campaign will be recognized by the Car Care Council Women’s Board with the organization’s communication award, presented during the Automotive Aftermarket Product Expo (AAPEX), held in Las Vegas from Nov. 5–8.
AutoTex PINK, a division of WEXCO Industries Inc., sells pink windshield wiper blades with a portion of sales going to the National Breast Cancer Foundation and the Breast Cancer Society of Canada.
“A few years back, we set out on a journey to ‘Wipe Out Breast Cancer’ and to be a different, fresh voice in the automotive aftermarket and the wiper industry,” said Paula Lombard, founder of AutoTex PINK. “This award and the increasing demand for AutoTex PINK wiper blades have been a product of unbelievable support from our partners and [our] team’s tireless efforts.”
In both 2010 and 2011, the AutoTex PINK program raised enough money to be recognized as a bronze-level sponsor by the National Breast Cancer Foundation. In 2012, it became a silver-level sponsor, and is on track to move up to gold for 2013.
The company's campaign is also in the running for the AAPEX's "best-in-show" award.
