April 24, 2013—Standard Motor Products Inc. (SMP) announced yesterday several organizational changes within the company’s sales and marketing group.
Bob Kimbro has been named vice president of international sales. Kimbro takes on leading the initiative to grow SMP’s sales beyond North America, which includes the creation of unique market and language specific cataloging, product offerings, pricing and marketing materials.
Ken Wendling will take over as vice president of warehouse distribution sales. Wendling is responsible for coordinating the field activities of SMP’s warehouse distribution sales force, program group directors and the warehouse distribution sales administration group in Lewisville, Texas.
Phil Hutchens has been named vice president of engine management marketing. Hutchens is in charge of all engine and wire marketing, pricing, cataloging, product strategy and category management. He will also assume oversight of the SMP training initiatives, which train more than 50,000 technicians annually.
Paul Farwick, vice president and general manager of Blue Streak Hygrade Limited, a division of SMP, will continue to oversee the Canadian sales and distribution groups, as well as take on additional customer sales responsibilities for Uni-Select USA and CARQUEST USA.
“The recent changes we’ve made within our sales and marketing group will better align our personnel to support strategic initiatives, drive joint revenue growth and better serve the needs of our customers,” Dale Burks, vice president of global sales and marketing for SMP, said in a statement.
