Over 50 women training in automotive repair helped restore a van for a nonprofit supporting homeless pregnant women.

Bogi Lateiner’s Girl Gang Garage of Phoenix, Arizona, recently came together to restore a van headed to the junkyard for a local nonprofit to use, reports ABC15.

Having 10 years of experience working as an industry management instructor, Lateiner created Girl Gang Garage to train women interested in entering auto repair, and has even partnered with ASE to help recruit technicians. Lateiner is also the host of the “All Girls Garage” TV series and a podcast called “With her Two Hands.”

Recently, Lateiner enlisted over 50 women at Girl Gang Garage to help restore a van that was originally destined for the junkyard. It will be donated to Maggie’s Place, a nonprofit helping homeless pregnant women.

A special ceremony will be held this coming Saturday to officially hand the keys over to the group.
