Jan. 10, 2022—Stellantis' Chrysler brand on Wednesday announced plans to switch to an all-electric lineup by 2028.

According to a report from Reuters, Chrysler made the announcement during the 2022 Consumer Electronics Show. The brand, which currently does not have an electric vehicle in its lineup, is planning its first EV model for 2025.

“We are completely transforming the portfolio for Chrysler between 2025 and 2028, and beyond,” Chrysler CEO Chris Feuell said in an interview.

The move is the latest by Stellantis in its efforts to achieve an all-electric portfolio. The company has previously said all 14 of its brands, including Chrysler, would have some form of EV offering. Last summer, Stellantis laid out plans to invest nearly $34 billion into electrification through 2025.
