Wrench Acquires YourMechanic

The acquisition bolsters the Seattle-based mobile auto repair services network with 350 auto technicians in 30 states.

June 3, 2022—Seattle-based mobile auto repair service, Wrench, has acquired its Silicon Valley-based competitor YourMechanic.

The acquisition boosts Wrench’s technician roster by more than 350 technicians in 30 states, reported Geekwire. The wrench model uses technicians who perform repairs on-location for customers—from towing assistance, auto detailing, and tire installation.

“By welcoming the YourMechanic ecosystem to Wrench, we are expanding what was already the largest mobile vehicle service network in existence,” Wrench CEO Ed Petersen said in a statement.
