May 21, 2015— iATN is turning 20, the company announced Wednesday.
Twenty years ago, the first e-mails were exchanged between a group of automotive technicians and in the time since, the company has gained a following of over 83,000 automotive service professionals.
“It’s hard to believe that 20 years ago, when iATN started, we didn’t even have a website, and all communication was done via e-mail,” said Brent Black, iATN founder. “Now nearly all communication on iATN is done via the web, and we expect in the near future that most of it will be done via mobile apps.”
Members of iATN have access to many iATN features including TechHelp and many technical and managerial web forums. The iATN Knowledge Base houses the Fix Database with hundreds of thousands of real-world vehicle fixes, and the web forum archives, and the Wavefoam Library with nearly 70,000 waveform, scandata images, component photos, documents and video demonstrations, all uploaded by iATN members.
“iATN will become even more important for those seeking to gain a deeper understanding of today’s challenges and remain competent in the automotive service industry,” said Scott Brown, iATN president.
