Shop owner says current supply chain chain shortage is the worst he's seen in his 38 years in he industry.

May 25, 2022—A Las Vegas area auto technician says the auto parts supply shortage is one of the worst he’s ever witnessed.

Jim Robbins of Allied Service Center in Spring Valley, Nevada, who has been in the industry for 38 years, said customers are waiting anywhere from weeks to months on part orders to be filled. His is one of many shops waiting on auto parts, and he says computers are especially hard to come by.

Robbins, who said the current predicament is “putting a dent into his business,” also told KTNV Nevada the best he can do is be honest with his customers about time frames and educate them on the supply shortage.
