NAPA Plans For Virtual Reality

April 26, 2022

NAPA has plans for its involvement in the metaverse, including online and virtual reality services as well as the sale of tangible and digital goods.

April 26, 2022—The National Automotive Parts Association has submitted an application to the U.S. Patent and Trademark office to trademark "virtual and digital good for use online and in the metaverse(s), online worlds, or other virtual reality platforms."

Essentially, this means that NAPA wants to join the Metaverse.

According to an article by the Atlanta Business Chronicle, NAPA would like to offer vehicle repair services online and in virtual reality. They also included non-fungible tokens in their application, meaning that they could soon be tapping into the world of cryptocurrency with blockchain technology.

Their application also dives into the selling of goods that are both tangible and virtual, as well as home delivery and store pick up options.
