Aug. 15, 2014—Federated Auto Parts has recognized Cliff Hovis, president of Hovis Auto and Truck Supply, with the Federated Industry Advocacy Award, the company announced Thursday.
The award is presented annually to a Federated member, and is aimed at recognizing individuals who have made selfless contributions to the auto care industry.
“Everyone at Federated wants to congratulate Cliff on this well-deserved recognition,” said Rusty Bishop, CEO of Federated Auto Parts. “This award serves to honor those contributions that often go unnoticed and almost always have no compensation except for the satisfaction of giving back. Cliff is always willing to give of his time, knowledge and expertise, and we thank him for all his hard work and dedication on behalf of Federated as well as the auto care industry.”
Hovis holds positions on the Federated executive committee and the Federated Board of Governors. He is also a member of the Automotive Warehouse Distributors Association (AWDA) Board of Governors and the University of the Aftermarket Foundation.
In the past, Hovis has been recognized with Federated’s highest honor, the Art Fisher Memorial Membership Award, given to him in 2011. Last year, he received the Mort Schwartz Excellence in Education award at the Global Automotive Aftermarket Symposium (GAAS) after he constructed the 10,000-square-foot Pennsylvania–based training facility, Hovis Technical Training Center.
