February 25, 2014—The Car Care Council Women’s Board raised more than $4,500 in its silent auction during its winter meeting, the board announced Tuesday.
Items for the auction were donated by Women’s Board associate companies and aftermarket supports, and all proceeds will go to the Women’s Board scholarship fund.
The board said it will award seven scholarships to female students studying to enter the auto care industry, a record amount.
Four of those awards will go to post-secondary students and three to high school students. The winners of all scholarships will be announced in May.
Other highlights of the winter meeting, held Feb. 4-5 in Charleston, S.C., included a distributor panel, a workshop on personal branding for business and life, a presentation on polarity thinking for leadership skills, and committee meetings.
