Feb. 10, 2016—Registration for the Auto Care Association Latin America Trade Missions is now open. Trade missions will take place in Peru, May 17-19 and in Guatemala, June 21-22, with an optional stop in El Salvador, June 23-24.
The Auto Care Association’s trade missions are a part of the Market Development Cooperator Program (MDCP) award the association received from the U.S. Department of Commerce to help the automotive industry increase exports to free trade agreement partners in Central and South America.
“Trade missions are a cost-effective opportunity to gain first-hand market intelligence and open doors for U.S. companies seeking to enter and expand their presence in these growing markets,” said Bill Hanvey, president and CEO. “They also allow U.S. companies to pursue export opportunities by meeting directly with pre-screened potential clients in target markets.”
Trade mission packages start at $3,500 for Peru and $2,500 for Guatemala. The packages include personalized business-to-business matchmaking meetings with foreign industry executives, pre-screened to match specific business objectives; hotel accommodations and local transportation; networking receptions; interpreters; and market overview briefings.
Participants may be eligible for a $1,500 reimbursement of the trade mission costs after fulfilling certain reporting requirements. Participation is limited to companies seeking to export goods or services produced in the United States, or goods or services that contain at least 51 percent U.S. content.
