Feb. 23, 2016—DENSO announced that its spark plugs that helped take three class wins at the recent National Hot Rod Association (NHRA) Winternationals have the same technology found in its spark plugs in everyday cars.
DENSO Iridium Racing spark plugs share a number of advanced features with DENSO Iridium TT spark plugs, which are available for a wide range of domestic, Asian and European vehicles. Both designs use a patented 360º laser welding process. They also feature a 0.4mm Iridium center electrode, reducing voltage requirements for ignition and greatly improving combustion efficiency.
