The Women’s Board of the Car Care Council held its annual Women's Board Reception at AAPEX on Nov. 4.

The WOMAN of Excellence Awards is given annually to an active Women's Board associate that has provided outstanding contributions to the Auto Care industry while demonstrating role model behavior, leadership and commitment to the advancement of women.
The 2014 winner is Kathy Jorge from Delphi. She has made an impact in the 14 years she has been with Delphi and six years she has been in the auto care industry, according to a release. Jorge has quickly risen through the ranks of Delphi. Her most recent promotion was as the vice president of sales for the North America Aftermarket division at Delphi.
The Female Shop Owner of the Year Award went to Bogi Lateiner. Lateiner is an ASE master technician and 100 percent owner of her shop 180 Degrees Automotive in Phoenix.
The Woman of the Year Award was given to Jodi Kramer of United Marketing. Kramer has been active in the industry for more than 25 years and is a mentor and role model for other women in the industry. After receiving her business degree from Indiana State University, she entered the family business at United Marketing that was started by her father, Bob Kramer.
