Report

This is our second year conducting the Shop Performance Survey, and our goal this time around was the same as it was in 2015: identify the key performance indicators (KPIs)—the metric—that are most critical to your business and provide a snapshot comparison of how the industry currently performs. Roughly 300 shop operators from across the country responded, and many still do not track this data.

There’s a reason KPIs are mentioned frequently in this magazine, and that’s because, when collected, recorded and analyzed correctly, KPIs can act as the lifeblood of your business, providing tangible, actionable data off which decisions can be made. The data in this survey supports that concept, as the shops that track succeed; those that don’t lag behind.
