Domestic Cars Dominate North American Car and Truck/Utility Of The Year Awards

Jan. 14, 2013—U.S. automakers swept the 2013 North American Car and Truck/Utility of the Year Awards, which were announced today at the North American International Auto Show, according to a statement from the North America Car of the Year Organizing Committee.

The Cadillac ATS received the top car accolade, beating out the Honda Accord and Ford Fusion.

The Ram 1500 took home top truck/utility honors, besting the Mazda CX-5 and Ford C-Max.

The winners were selected by a jury of 49 journalists from various outlets in the U.S. and Canada and represent industry benchmarks in innovation, comfort, design, safety, handling, driver satisfaction and value.
