Women Buy Shop, Continue Family Legacy

Emily McClesky’s grandfather and father were both shop owners.

April 28, 2022—Emily and Leona McCleskey celebrated their first year in business as shop owners on March 1. 

Emily McCleskey is a third-generation auto shop owner. Her grandparents purchased Houston Automatic Transmission in 1978, and her father launched a satellite location that’s still open, reported Community Impact Newspaper.

Emily got into the industry while running Cars Complete, which she renamed Legacy Auto Repair to honor their family history after purchasing the shop from its previous owner.
