April 22, 2014

April 22, 2014—The 2014 BMW i3 has been named the top green car of 2014, according to a recent Kelley Blue Book report.

The annual list compiles 10 standout efficient vehicles spanning a variety of price ranges and powertrains.

Kelley Blue Book said it chose the BMW i3 not only for its 70-110 miles of electric range, but also the use of naturally tanned leather, recycled materials and natural fibers during the manufacturing of the vehicle.

The i3 was followed by the Nissan Leaf, Toyota Prius, Honda Accord Hybrid and Tesla Model S.

Rounding out the top 10 were the Chevrolet Volt, Ford C-Max, Honda Civic, Lexus ES 300h and Volkswagen Jetta.
