Ford Announces New Cabin Air Filters

July 26, 2021
According to Ford, the new filter can help filter out pollens, allergens, dust particles, "bacteria-sized" particles, and even some particulates found in smog.

July 26, 2021—Ford has announced plans to roll out Ford Refresh95, a new standard cabin air filter.

The filters will start being put into Ford vehicles later this year and plans to "cover a majority of its lineup" by the end of 2023, according to Autoweek. The new filter will be a standard feature.

Refresh95 is designed to reduce particles that come from both the cabin and the outside, which the company says is "a big deal." Per the EPA, particles less than 10 microns in diameter can pose health risks. According to Ford, the new filter can help filter out pollens, allergens, dust particles, "bacteria-sized" particles and even some particulates found in smog.

The company will also make filters available for purchase for certain compatible vehicles already on the road.
