DXC Technology and BMW have partnered together for the development of autonomous vehicles.
April 9, 2019—DXC Technology and BMW have partnered together for the development of autonomous vehicles, according to WTOP. DXC will provide technology, data analysis and algorithmic training to later reduce the time and cost to develop autonomous vehicles for BMW.
“DXC will greatly support our commitment to maximizing innovation, which will benefit our customers,” Alejandro Vukotich, senior vice president of BMW’s Autonomous Driving and Driver Assistance Group said to WTOP.
Financial terms were not disclosed. Additionally, with the help with DXC's digital technology, BMW told WTOP its manufacturing and research and development teams will be able to collect, store, and manage vehicle sensor data in seconds compared to weeks.
