March 27, 2013—The Global Automotive Aftermarket Symposium (GAAS) Scholarship Committee announced on Wednesday that the Gates Corporation has pledged to fund 10 scholarships, in the amount of $1,000 each, for the 2013 GAAS scholarship awards.
The scholarships are awarded to students training to become automotive, heavy-duty or collision repair technicians, and to students in business, marketing, engineering or other major courses of study.
“The GAAS Scholarship Committee is very pleased that Gates has once again funded these 10 scholarships for students planning careers in the automotive aftermarket,” said Pete Kornafel, chairman of the GAAS Scholarship Selection Committee. “Gates’ support enhances the value offered by the GAAS scholarship program as a ‘one stop shop’ for automotive scholarships”
