Bridgestone Names Head of Commercial Tire Marketing

March 21, 2013—Bridgestone Americas Tire Operations (BATO) has named Matthew Stevenson as vice president of marketing for its commercial tire division, effective earlier this month.

Stevenson has an extensive background in marketing for commercial vehicle and component companies, including his most recent position as general manager of North American field operations and marketing for Meritor, Inc.

In his role at Meritor, Stevenson was responsible for the leadership of the DriveForce organization, including field sales, service, training, fleet and dealer relationships and product marketing for the truck, trailer and specialty business units.

"Matthew brings extensive experience building strong relationships with customers in the commercial vehicle industry," said Philip Dobbs, CMO,  Bridgestone Americas Tire Operations-North America. "I am excited to have him on board to help us elevate awareness of the needs of our customers, and help us in meeting those needs. He will be a valuable addition to our team."
