Colorado Repair Shop Donates Thousands of Dollars in Auto Repairs to Local Parent
Lake Arbor Automotive & Truck of Westminster, Colorado, recently held its eighth annual donation of transportation to a young single parent in need, according to a press release.
For the past nine years (with the exception of 2020 due to COVID-19), Lake Arbor has annually donated either a vehicle or thousands of dollars in repairs to a young single mother in need of reliable transportation.
This year, 21-year-old Yarisbely Reynoso was chosen, who is seeking a job in the retail industry as she raises a five-year-old daughter. Coming from Aurora, Colorado, she now lives at Hope House Colorado, which is also supporting her as she pursues a degree from Red Rocks Community College.
Reynoso purchased her car—a 2006 Infiniti with 225,000 miles—used. Lake Arbor donated $4,900 worth of repairs and maintenance, including an alignment, alternator belt, tensioner, front struts, and repair to the airbag. The vehicle was presented to her in celebration of Mother’s Day.
