Hunter Engineering Releases Free, Online Tool to Help Shop Customers Understand ADAS
Hunter Engineering has released a free online tool breaking down ADAS components and procedures, according to a press release.
The ADAS Learning Tool, available on tablets and desktop computers, was designed to assist counter workers, or even allow customers with questions about ADAS calibrations to explore for themselves.
ADAS procedures are divided into four categories—camera, radar, ultrasound, and internal—with each section containing brief overviews and images.
The tool also provides color-coded images of vehicles to help explain where different ADAS components are located, what they do, and when they would need calibrations. Each color-coded section also provides the different names each OEM uses for their model’s ADAS system.
“ADAS has received plenty of attention the past several years, but comparatively little of it deals with talking to actual vehicle owners,” said Director of Marketing at Hunter, Tommy Maitz. “This learning tool will help shops have more informative and effective conversations with their customers about which systems are included on their cars, and the need for calibrations.”
