Top-Selling Vehicles of 2024: SUVs and Trucks Top List, While Tesla Dominates EVs

Autoblog recently put together a list of the top 20 best-selling vehicle models in the U.S. in 2024, showing what direction consumers are gradually headed towards in their vehicle choices.

Trucks and SUVs still lead the market, though sedans such as the Toyota Corolla and Camry have retained their longstanding popularity with consumers. Affordable vehicles like the Honda Civic and Chevrolet Trax also ranked, with Civic sales having seen a 20% increase from 2023 and Trax sales increasing by 84%.

The Tesla Model Y has also been steadily climbing up the list of best-selling vehicles each year, landing in the top five for 2024. Global sales for this vehicle saw a slight decrease, but its U.S. sales were strong. Factors such as adequate range and accessibility to an extensive charging network have secured it as the best-selling EV in the U.S.
