NAPA Partners With University of the Aftermarket to Provide Automotive Scholarships
NAPA partnered with the University of the Aftermarket Foundation to award several scholarships to students seeking a career in the auto repair industry, according to a press release.
Being held in addition to other initiatives such as an apprenticeship program, a total of 20 scholarships were awarded.
Fifteen scholarships, each amounting $2,500, were awarded to students who have been accepted or are enrolled in a transportation technician program.
Another five scholarships, each $2,500, were specifically awarded to women looking to enter the field.
Applications for future scholarships are being accepted online now at AutomotiveScholarships.com. Students will need to complete just one application to be considered for multiple scholarships.
“With the technician shortage still impacting the industry, we understand the importance of nurturing individuals interested in a career in the automotive trades,” said NAPA Senior Director of Marketing Emily Schneider. “These scholarships are designed to celebrate emerging talent and create opportunities for those beginning or continuing their journey in technician education.”
