The Auto Care Association (ACA) is calling on the industry to tell Congress to advance the REPAIR Act in a recent press release.
In a video shared by the organization, ACA President and CEO Bill Hanvey explained that, although the REPAIR Act has now gained 56 bipartisan supporters and passed the House Energy and Commerce Committee unanimously, it now waits along with 2,000 other bills to advance further.
Hanvey is encouraging all right to repair advocates to write to their representatives asking them to push the REPAIR Act forward, which can be quickly accessed through the QR code provided in the video. Additionally, those who sign are also invited to share the QR code with as many others as possible.
“We're now at an important crossroads to get HR 906, the REPAIR Act, across the finish line. Did you know that there's over 2,000 bills in front of the House Energy and Commerce Committee right now? So we are effectively competing for headspace,” Hanvey said. “So please, scan the QR code, send this QR to your employees and anybody at a backyard picnic at a party, put your QR code up. And this will help those representatives understand how important this issue is to our $500 billion industry that employs 4.9 million employees.”
