ASE Grants Highest Accreditation to Minnesota Automotive Program
Northwest Technical College of Bemidji, Minnesota’s Automotive Service and Performance program has received the highest level of accreditation available from the National Institute for Automotive Service Excellence, reports Red Lake Nation News.
Following evaluations conducted by the ASE Education Foundation, Northwest Technical College’s automotive program has been granted Master Automotive Service Technology accreditation through June 1, 2029.
The school’s two-year diploma in automotive service and performance trains students to work with brakes, powertrain systems, diagnostic assessments, hybrid-engine vehicles, and more. Students are taught in recently remodeled laboratories with the latest equipment.
From 2019 to 2022–the most recent data available on the program–the entirety of the school’s automotive graduates were employed in positions related to their studies.
“Because this program increases cooperation between local education and industry leaders, it gives added assurance that NTC’s graduates will be employable entry-level technicians,” said ASE Education Foundation President Mike Coley. “As a result of the quality education at NTC, the public will benefit since better repair technicians will join the workforce.”
