The Automotive Service & Tire Alliance (ASTA) has announced two new members of its staff in a recent press release.

Joining as interim executive director will be Chet Mottershead, joined by Reece Hester taking the role of director of government affairs.

Mottershead has extensive experience working with nonprofits, having graduated from Armstrong-McGuire’s Interim Management Executive Program and previously serving as the North Carolina Department of Commerce's assistant secretary for workforce solutions. His contributions to workforce development earned him the Order of the Long Leaf Pine award from the state of North Carolina earlier this year.

Hester is returning to ASTA, having worked in the organization in the past. He worked as a tire dealer for 28 years before becoming the executive director of the North Carolina Tire Dealers Association. Alongside his work as director of government affairs, Hester will also be overseeing member engagement in collaboration with Membership Coordinator Jessee Potter.
