Upcoming Webinar to Discuss Hydrogen in Internal Combustion Engines
The Engine Technology Forum will be holding a webinar on the use of hydrogen in internal combustion engines, according to a press release.
Slated for July 24, the live session will be led by a panel made up of Dave Frohberg, chief engineer of natural gas and alternative fuels at Caterpillar; Puneet Jhawar, general manager of alternate fuels and fuel delivery system business at Cummins; Ivan Tate, head of the technical centre at FPT Industrial; Louise Arnold, product line director for Johnson Matthey; and Dmitri Konson, vice president of engineering at Tenneco Clean Air.
Discussion will surround how hydrogen could be used in internal combustion engines–or, H2-ICE. The panelists will look at the challenges that face such a technology, its place in the transition to clean energy, and how it will most likely be used in the coming years.
Attendees will hear conversation on hydrogen being used as a fuel, how H2-ICE compares to other clean energy alternatives, the cost of H2-ICE, and other related topics. Dr. Ameya Joshi of MobilityNotes will also be unveiling his white paper, ‘Hydrogen for ICE,’ along with a brief overview of his findings.
Following a group discussion and short presentations, speakers will conduct a questions and answers segment with the audience. There is no cost to attend the event, though registration beforehand is required.
