Wisconsin Educator Awarded ASE Education Foundation 'Instructor of the Year'
The ASE Education Foundation has named Scott Fisler as the Byrl Shoemaker/ASE Education Foundation Instructor of the Year, according to a recent press release.
The award is one of several that are presented annually, with award winners being recognized at the recent Fall ASE Board of Governors meeting that took place at the Hilton Clearwater Beach Resort and Spa in Clearwater, Florida. Besides holding top scores for ASE certification tests, recipients are also determined based on career performance and community service.
Fisler is a teacher at Milwaukee Area Technical College and was presented the Instructor of the Year award by ASE Education Foundation President Mike Coley, ASE Board of Director Chair Homer Hogg, and ASE Past President and CEO Tim Zilke. The title was created in honor of Byrl Shoemaker, a pivotal figure in automotive education.
“We are proud to recognize Scott Fisler's commitment to excellence in providing the very best in automotive technology education to his students,” said Coley. “This dedication is reflected in the talented professionals we recognize each year and Scott represents the best of the best.”
