The 2024 board of directors for the ASE Education Foundation has been announced in a recent press release.
The organization named Joelle Pollak, co-founder of Promotive, as the new chair of the Education Foundation. Serving as vice chair will be Eric Kenar, manager of technician environment and service technical college for General Motors.
Dynamic Automotive President and CEO Dwayne Myers has been appointed as treasurer, with Brian LaCroix, automotive instructor at Capital Region BOCES Career & Technical Education Center, acting as secretary.
Trey Michael, senior director of the Office of Career and Technical Education at the North Carolina Department of Public Instruction, served as chair for 2023, and will now hold the role of past chair on the board.
Renominated for additional terms was Drew Jablonowski, content and curriculum manager at Garage Gurus; Justin Morgan, automotive technology chairperson for Sinclair Community College; and Jim Sennett, manager of automotive repair programs for AAA.
The board gained many new members for 2024. The list includes Brent Franks, president of North Texas Automobile Dealers; Dennis Harden, chief of career and technical education for the Iowa Department of Education; Joe Oleson, director of fleet maintenance, support, and equipment for FedEx Freight; Jason Ross, curriculum designer for Volkswagen Group of America; and Juwan Willis, program instructor at Oakland Schools NE Tech Campus.
“These officers and board members generously volunteer their time and expertise to guide the ASE Education Foundation,” stated ASE Education Foundation President Mike Coley. “As we embark on significant initiatives in the coming year, their experience and knowledge are invaluable.”
