Auto Shop Owner and Radio Personality Jesus ‘Jesse’ Moreno Passes Away
Jesus “Jesse” Moreno, owner of downtown Las Vegas auto shop Genuine Auto Services, has passed away, KNPR reports.
Moreno’s passing was announced through a post on Genuine Auto Services’ Facebook page.
“It is with great sadness and a heavy heart that the Moreno Family announces the passing of Jesus ‘Jesse’ Moreno,” the post read. “He will be greatly missed and always in our minds and hearts as the beautiful soul he was and always will be.”
Besides being a shop owner, Moreno was a regular guest on KNPR’s State of Nevada, joining as a subject-matter expert for its “car talk” segments. He is remembered for his kindness, humor, expertise as a technician, and the help he gladly offered to listeners in need.
Following his first appearance on the show, Moreno took to social media to express how happy it made him to speak on the topic and to help anyone he could.
“Totally an awesome experience!” described Moreno in his post. “Please support Nevada Public Radio, the shop Genuine Auto Services and I by listening in and make sure to see us if you need any automotive repair needs for those daily drivers. Remember those who support you and are there for you before overspending at the big local chain shops!”
