Two products from Hunter Engineering have won 2023 PTEN People’s Choice Awards, according to a press release.
Winners of the award are voted on by readers of PTEN Magazine. The contenders are pooled from the PTEN Innovation Awards held earlier this year, which were chosen by an expert panel of judges to compete for the People’s Choice Award.
The first Hunter Engineering product to win the award was the 1708-T Alignment Guide, which had previously won an Innovation Award as well. Acting as a source for service advisors quoting work, the guide was originally available in print only but is now available online for free via the HunterNet 2 portal.
The guide is updated twice annually with guidance for shops on vehicle suspension adjustments and any electronic resets or ADAS calibrations needed after a wheel alignment.
Hunter Engineering’s second product winner was the addition of HunterNet 2 connectivity to its BL Series of bench lathes with tablets. HunterNet 2 is a customer portal for under-car service operators with single or multiple rooftops and provides actionable performance data for any Hunter-connected equipment.
The integration allows shop owners and managers to see before and after-cut results for rotors and drums online, view initial runout, monitor lathe usage counts, and track equipment ROI in real-time.
