TA, Electrify America Collaborate on EV Charger Distribution Plan

Jan. 31, 2023

TravelCenters of America has committed to buying 1,000 Electrify America EV fast charging stations.

Jan. 31, 2023—TravelCenters of America plan to add 1,000 Electrify America EV fast chargers to 200 of its TravelCenters of America (TA), TA Express and Petro within the next five years.

According to The Verge, TA aims to have the first ones installed in 2023 in Ohio and Texas.

The company, which has Tesla Supercharging stations in its Washington, Minnesota, and Nevada locations, FreeWire EV stations in its California and Ohio locations, and a ChargePoint station in Tennessee, plans says the new Electrify America stations supply a charge of up to 350kW, which supports some of the fastest-charging EVs available.
