General Motors is rolling out two new EV programs and plans to hire 3,000 technology-related employees as part of the initiative.
Nov. 10, 2020—General Motors is on the hunt for top talent.
With plans to open up two electric vehicle programs, the automaker also plans on hiring 3,000 technology-related employees, including engineers, designers, and those in information technology, through its first quarter of 2021, reports Reuters.
GM has planned on these "two major programs" since its EV Day held back in March, where the company said it would invest $20 billion in electric and autonomous vehicles.
As part of the investment, GM has promised 20 new electric vehicle models globally by 2023. This includes the Hummer EV pickup, which will be launched in late 2021, followed by the Lyriq crossover in 2022.
