GM Puts Self-Driving Tech into Pickups

GMC's Sierra pickup truck is one of the brand's first to receive hands-free technology.

Dec. 14, 2020—The first pickup to get General Motors' self-driving technology is the GMC Sierra full-size light-duty pickup. 

According to the Detroit Free Press, the automaker has put its hands-free driver assist technology into the Sierra.  

General Motors announced that Super Cruise, its semi-autonomous highway driver assist technology, will be available on the Sierra 1500 Denali in 2022. The latest version of Super Cruise will also include hands-free towing.
