Oct. 7, 2022—A teenager in Florida rebuilds carburetors with her friends out of her family's garage.
According to Fox 13 News, Riley Trask is the founder of Riley's Rebuilds. Her Lakewood Ranch family garage serves as its headquarters. Inside, you'll find Trask and five other 17-year-old girls rebuilding carburetors.
Trask originally got interested in cars thanks to her father, and ever since she was 13 she has been working on them. A few years back, she started working with carburetors as a way to raise money for her first car. Since then, she has recruited her friends to help with rebuilds, and they recieve carburetors from people all over the country.
Riley's Rebuilds has a prominent following on social media, which has helped the business take off even further. Trask told Fox 13 News that it is thanks to this business that she was able to buy her 1995 Jeep, which she painted and modified with her dad. She is also proud to be a female representative in a mostly male-dominated profession, telling Fox 13 News that she is happy to have found a hobby and profession in the automotive industry.
