Feb. 4, 2019—Employees from an Indianapolis repair shop have not received their paychecks, RTV6 Indianapolis reports. The station was reportedly called by an auto mechanic from Black Forest Motors in Indianapolis, Ind., who claims the shop unexpectedly closed and workers have not received their pay checks.

"I needed to make preparations to get my belongings out of there," John Massey, a Black Forest Motors employee said to RTV6.  "We reported for work yesterday morning and he said by Friday at 6 o'clock the shop would be closed."

Massey told the station that the owner owes him multiple paychecks, RTV6 reports.

"... just saying hang in there hang in there," Massey quoted from the owner to the station. "I can't tell these bills to hang in there."

Massey's wife told RTV6 that  five co-workers have not gotten their paychecks from the repair shop.

The shop is not closing, the shop's supervisor told RTV6, but is instead moving and restructuring. The supervisor also told the station that he intends to get the workers their paychecks in a timely manner, RTV6 reports.
