July 25, 2016—The Alliance of Automotive Service Providers of New Jersey (AASP/NJ) announced that it made a donation at the Meadowlands Exposition Center to the Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center’s efforts to combat prostate cancer.
Last month, AASP/NJ hosted its fifth annual Race Night event at Pole Position in Jersey City, N.J., where it raised $1,000 to put towards the donation. The donation was made at the NORTHEAST Automotive Services Show.
“It is my honor to thank AASP/NJ for their recent gift and welcome them to Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center (MSK)’s 2016 Corporate Partners for Excellence (CPE) program,” Natalia Montoya, MSK’s development officer, said. “Their generosity enables our physician-scientists to provide cancer patients with the best treatment available today, while working on cures for tomorrow. We are grateful for their support.”
“Unfortunately, although we have seen quite a few of our members deal with this cancer recently, the fact is that everyone knows someone who has been touched by this horrible disease,” AASP/NJ president Jeff McDowell, said. “It is my hope that we, as an association, are able to make even the tiniest difference to help MSK in their research, and we look forward to working with them not only with Race Night but with the NORTHEAST show as well.”
