Oct. 11, 2013—The Automotive Service Association of the Midwest (ASA-Midwest) is holding a session on Iowa sales tax and use tax from 6:30–8:30 p.m. on Oct. 22 at Mama Lacona’s in Urbandale, Iowa.
The featured speaker is a retired Iowa Department of Revenue employee, Opal Current, who will cover a variety of topics including the difference between paying and collecting sales tax, taxable purchases, exempt purchases, itemizing billings, using exemption certificates, using claims for refunds, local tax options and trigger audits.
The session includes dinner and training. Cost for ASA members is $20 and non-members is $25.
