July 31, 2018—OTC has added seven new ball joint adapter sets designed to assist technicians when removing and installing ball joints on select vehicles. Each set works with OTC’s existing 7248 C-frame press and are designed to work on multiple models from various manufacturers.
All sets are now available in North America.
6646 Lexus/Hyundai/Kia Ball Joint Adapter Set: This four-adapter set is specifically designed to remove and install ball joints on select Lexus, Hyundai and Kia vehicles. It is used in conjunction with the 7248 C-frame. The set contains adapter part numbers 554413, 580570, 581426 and 38355A for use on:
- Lexus: 2006 GS300, 2007-2011 GS350, 2006-2015 IS250, 2016-2017 IS300 and 2011-2017 IS350.
- Hyundai: 2006-2011 Azera, 2006-2010 Sonata
- Kia: 2007-2009 Amanti
6647 Lexus/Toyota Ball Joint Adapter Set: The four-adapter set is specifically designed to remove and install ball joints on select Toyota and Lexus vehicles. The set works with the 7248 C-frame many technicians currently own. The set contains adapter part numbers 222307, 305227, 204508A and 580569 for use on:
- Lexus: 2003-2009 GX470
- Toyota: 2003-2017 4Runner, 2007-2014 FJ Cruiser
6648 Ford Transit Connect Van Ball Joint Adapter Set: The four-adapter set is used in conjunction with the 7248 C-frame to remove and install ball joints on Ford Transit Connect vans. The set contains adapter part numbers 580517, 580526, 581646 and 581647.
- Ford: 2010-2013 Ford Transit Connect vans
6649 Chevy/GMC Ball Joint Adapter Set: The unique three-adapter set is used in conjunction with the 7248 C-frame to remove and install ball joints on model year 2011-2017 ¾ and 1-ton heavy-duty Chevrolet and GMC vehicles. The set contains adapter part numbers 580524, 305227 and 580523 for use on:
- Chevrolet: Suburban 2500, Avalanche 2500, Silverado 2500 and 3500
- GMC: Sierra 2500 and 3500, Yukon XL 2500
6651 Mazda CX7 & CX9 Ball Joint Adapter Set: The four-adapter set is used in conjunction with the 7248 C-frame to remove and install ball joints on select Mazda vehicles. The set contains part numbers 580585, 554413, 531739 and 554414 for use on:
- Mazda: 2007-2012 CX7, 2007-2014 CX9
6652 Subaru Ball Joint Adapter Set: This three-adapter set is used in conjunction with the 7248 C-frame to remove and install ball joints on select Subaru vehicles. The set contains part numbers 581996, 581994 and 581994 for use on:

6653 Acura/Honda Ball Joint Adapter Set: This four-adapter set is used in conjunction with the 7248 C-frame to remove and install ball joints on select Honda and Acura vehicles. The set contains adapter part numbers 580518, 554419, 554414 and 313967 for use on:

- Honda: 2008-2012 Accord, 2010-2011 Accord Crosstour, 2012-2014 Crosstour
