May 17, 2017—In hopes of improving parts ordering efficiency, SHIFTMobility Inc., creator of a telematics-enabled automotive platform, announced a partnership with eBay Motors, the world's largest automotive marketplace.
This new partnership combines SHIFTMobility's mobile automotive aftermarket service center solutions with eBay's robust inventory of auto parts.
"Today's consumers have become accustomed to seamless experiences on their mobile devices, and automotive professionals are no exception," SHIFTMobility wrote in a press release. "On eBay Motors, a single car part is purchased every three seconds via mobile devices. Couple this mobile-first preference with the rise of the connected vehicle and it's clear the automotive industry is poised for explosive growth—it simply needs the right platform."
SHIFTMobility is hoping to enable shops to improve repair process times with its program, ShopLite, which connects automotive repair shops to eBay's vast selection of aftermarket automotive parts.
"We're excited to partner with eBay Motors and provide our users with access to one of the world's largest marketplaces of OEM, aftermarket, and hard-to-find parts," said Pavana Jain, CEO and co-founder of SHIFTMobility. "With our revolutionary connected service network comprised of repair centers, parts distributors, manufacturers, and vehicles, SHIFTMobility makes it easy for automotive service centers to estimate, order parts, connect to vehicles, and build customer loyalty through transparency."
